# JSON-LD entity linking (sameAs)

sameAs ties your entity to ones an agent already knows, such as Wikipedia, Crunchbase, and your own profiles.

## What it checks

The extension reads the page’s JSON-LD, from the rendered page when it can and from the raw HTML otherwise. If there is Schema.org data, it looks for a `sameAs` property anywhere in it, including nested nodes and `@graph` entries.

## Results

| Status   | When                                                     |
| -------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Pass** | The structured data declares `sameAs`                    |
| **Warn** | There is Schema.org data, but no `sameAs` anywhere in it |
| **N/A**  | The page has no Schema.org JSON-LD                       |

## How to fix

Add `sameAs` to your `Organization` or `Person` entity, listing the URLs of the same entity elsewhere: your Wikipedia or Wikidata entry and your official profiles. That lets an agent resolve you to an entity it already knows.
