Getting started

Install

The Sitebulb Labs Extension isn’t on the Chrome Web Store yet. Until it is, you can load it unpacked:

1. Download it from labs.sitebulb.com/download and unzip it.
2. Open chrome://extensions in Chrome.
3. Enable Developer mode (top right).
4. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.

(This page will switch to a one-click Chrome Web Store install link once the listing is live.)

Automatic scanning

While Sitebulb Labs is open it will automatically scan the current page based on url change. The current version we ask for full access to any url, so that you don’t have to keep on requesting new access every time the url changes.

Once a scan completes, you get:

• An overall score and a per-category breakdown (see Check reference).
• A Priority Opportunities panel surfacing the quickest high-impact fixes.
• Currently most AEO/GEO specific checks are opinions about closed box technology, we are trying to demystify and create ways of exploring emerging technology.
• Each check will tell you what it found, why it might matter, and a recommendation on how to use this feature.
• We also offer Emerging and experimental features, things that are still on the horizon. As we find more concrete evidence these features are being used and adopted they will make their way into the main test suite.

Exports

Results can be exported as Markdown, CSV, or JSON from the export button, at the top of the extension.
